Extremely interesting item celebrating the 1940 census of Manchuria by the Japanese occupation force. Not sure if this is meant to be a small plaque or a medal; It has one hole on the top. Top line reads "October 1, Kotoku 7" which is the year numbering system for the Manchukuo emperor you may be familiar with from the movie "The Last Emperor". It translates to 1940. The line under the dove reads "Census Celebration". The rear again reads "Manchuria Census Celebration 1940", with the year in western terminology this time. Items related to Manchukuo occupation are highly collectible and this is a piece I have never seen before.
