Terrific example of a Luftwaffe paratrooper gravity knife. The only negative on this one is a small bend in the cutting edge (See photo-roght beside maker mark). This could be bent out by next owner but I do not change or fix anything. Besides this wave, the blade rates at near mint with all cross graining and factory edges still perfect. There is just the lightest of surface scratching that are really impossible to avoid. The handles on these knives are a soft wood that really suck up all hits and turn them into dings. That being said, this handle is pretty clean with only light scarring. Spring works fine on the drop mechanism and the bottom spike has the expected waffenampt, visible when spike is retracted. Minus the bend in the blade, this gravity knife would be quite difficult to improve upon.
