| An interesting chained NSKK dagger. Similar to other field upgrades it was period plated so fittings match, thus explaining why a plated crossguard has gau marks. Some minor plating thinning to the upper crossguard hints that this plating was done period. Handle has a nice, dark tone with no chipping and a nice, exact fit to both crossguards. Black scabbrd looks to be original paint with only very minor wear that matches the whole dagger as a unit. As it is a field upgrade there are, interestingly, two links (both end links) marked "MUSTERSCHUTZ NSKK KORPSFUHRUNG" as well as one link marked "RZM". You can see just about anything on a field upgrade. Blade has some runner marks but still nice, bright and unstained. Fair amount of cross graining is visible (See photos). Herder marked blade.
