Very nice patrotic Japanese frame from WWII or earlier. Very nice military flag motif and Japanese writing. Small chip in the upper right corner of the glass. The back fabric is original, but if there was a ctach keeping the frame closed it is gone now. The picture is a Japanese Major General with his sword and high levels of both the Rising Sun and the Sacred Treasure. I suspect this may be a reproduction photo; The back looks aged and as if it had been mounted, but the picture itself has some strange details that make me think it is newer. If you purchase this, please be buying the frame; It is nice and original.
