Even when listing relatively common items I do try to offer choice examples. This Hitler Youth buckle is a real choice example. Nickel finish is just gorgeous. High quality buckle with perfect detail. Contemporary to the transitional period around 1936 this buckle is marked with the Assman logo as well as A&S for Assman and son. Also marked GES GESCH (referring to a patent) as well as the company manufacturing code RZM 17. Some oxidation to the posts and roll bar and a little bit of oxidation bleeding from the catch. Neither is bad but both serve to give the buckle an obvious note of undoubtability which is nice as the rest of the buckle is so perfect. This is the third such buckle I have owned and I am firmly of the opinion that this is the prettiest and most interesting HJ "EM" style buckle. A real winner meant for someone that wants the 'nicest' and not the 'cheapest'.
